Biscayne Unitarian Spiritual Exercise: A Kayaking Kiki
For the hipsters amongst us, a "kiki" is a party for calming your nerves - and what can be more relaxing than quietly paddling with friends in calm waters or exploring the shoreline with the kids and getting to make connections with new friends? We will meet at the Blue Marlin Fish House in Oleta River State Park at 2:00 to launch our kayaks by 2:30 and then paddle off to explore the northern bay waters and islands. Bring your own kayak ($2 launch fee), or rent one for a small fee. For families with small kids or those who want to remain dry, bring an afternoon snack and hang out in the picnic area for fellowship and crafts related to the bay environment! A short service and collection for a bay-related cause will highlight the UU principle "Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part."
